- What’s your favourite food?
Oh god don’t do this to me – close tie between kumara, avocado, peanut butter and dark chocolate.
- Who would you invite to dinner?
Eliza McCartney! We are basically the same age, would love to meet her one day.
- Favourite sports brand to wear?
I own a lot of different brands but I’m definitely a Nike girl at heart!
- Favourite café?
Ruby-Lane in Manly, Sydney!! Is having one from overseas cheating? Such an amazing complex and 10/10 acai!
- Favourite workout?
Either a long run or intense F45 session!
- Favourite country to train and/or race?
I haven’t seen too much of the world just yet but I must admit NZ has a great climate for outdoor sports! Would love to enter a running event somewhere more tropical but I’m not too sure how I would handle the heat.
- Favourite music to train to
My training playlist is really just the same bangers they play in clubs, quite embarrassing when I go out and can recite every song that plays haha.
- Favourite music to drive with and belt out?
Anything Ed Sheeran!
- Favourite quote?
“The dream is free, the hustle is sold separately.”
- Top tip for self-confidence?
Fake it til you make it baby!
- Top beauty tip?
Look after your skin from the inside! Hydrate, eat healthy fats and include probiotics in your diet.
- Favourite recipe book?
I love the JS Health books! Such good recipes without exotic/costly ingredients. Also a huge fan of Nadia Lim for the same reasons.
- Favourite smoothie recipe?
Cacao, berries, banana, protein and peanut butter!
- What’s in your sports bag?
Water bottle, sweat towel, headphones, running armband and a snack for the walk home!
- Where do you find your motivation to go training when your super tired or having a bad day?
First I work through a process to figure out if I really do need to rest or if I’m just being lazy. If I am genuinely run down and starting to get sick, I will definitely make tea and rest! If not, I know that a good workout will make me feel a whole lot better. Often the hardest part of going for a run is getting your gear on and making it out the door. I like to hype myself up with some good music and dance around the house getting my running gear on haha.
- Outside hobbies?
As in outdoors or outside health and fitness? Believe it or not I am actually a total nerd. I study finance and really enjoy it! I just got a job at PwC working as a financial assurance intern and I can’t wait to start.
17.Quirky trait about yourself…
You only have to show me a needle or take me into a hospital and Il pass out, it’s quite embarrassing really.
- What’s your something you learnt about nutrition recently?
No two people will thrive off the same diet. Its all about figuring out what your body wants and what composition of foods serve it best. Some people feel great eating vegetarian, some people have no energy, the same can be said about paleo diets, high carb, low carb, high fat etc. Learning to listen to your body is one of the most beneficial things you can do!
- Where is your favourite place to visit in NZ?
Mount Maunganui! Great beach, great cafes, heaps to do!
- Coffee or tea?
Both! Coffee in the morning and tea at night. I have a Nespresso machine in my student flat I am that dedicated.
21. Smoothie or eggs for breakfast?
Most mornings I crave smoothies! But if I force myself to have a savory egg breakfast I really enjoy it.
- First thing you do in the morning when you wake up…
Check the time and get overly excited if I managed to sleep past 7 (I suck at sleep ins).
- 3 foods you can’t live without?
Frozen bananas, peanut butter and kumara.
- Last thing you do before you go to bed?
Give Instagram a final scroll for the night (really bad habit I know!)

If it won’t matter in 5 years time, try not to be upset about it for more than 5 minutes.
- Where did you grow up?
I was born and raised in Howick, a cute little suburb in East Auckland.
- What did you want to be when you grow up?
Through high school I thought I would be an accountant so I haven’t really veered far from that! Have always been infatuated with business and money. I started buying beads, making bracelets and selling them for a calculated profit when I was about 10 years old.
- What was your ‘ah-ha’ moment with health and fitness?
When I ran my hardest at cross country and came second! (Out of a school of 2000 people this was quite a feat!) I’d been running regularly but this was the first time I clicked that hard work = results and was totally unexpected.
- What’s the best piece of advice your parents ever gave you (or grandparents)?
I have learnt so much from both my parents and grandparents it feels impossible to chose a best piece of advice. Whenever I get stressed out over something, Mum and Dad will always tell me that no one can ask more of you than your best. Just do the best you can and what’s meant to be will be.
- If you could tell your high-school self anything, what would it be?
Once you leave High School, your grades will hardly matter, don’t put so much pressure on yourself – try to enjoy these years without so much stress!
- How do you minimise stress in your life?
By working through the consequences! Okay so, I don’t get an A in this assignment, will I die? Probably not. Its definitely important to me to maintain a healthy balance. Priorities what matters the most and what you can do something about.
- What’s your favourite way to show yourself some ‘self lovin’?
A morning stroll to watch the sunrise and a coffee from my favourite café feels like a holiday. It’s the little things.
